Established in 2022 by Alexandra Jurado & her husband Danilo, we create products with a style of luxury that promotes high quality & sustainability.
SUMMER collaborates, and work directly with artisans in Ecuador. The brand aims to strengthen the appreciation for products that are 100% handmade.
Our customers help the Ecuadorian crafters in Montecristi, and Andean region providing work and an opportunity to continue this millenary craft of weaving toquilla straw.

The Legendary Panama Hat
The Panama hat, is a type of hat, hand-woven with fibers of a dwarf palm, the Carludovica palmata. The secrets of the making of this hat are handed down from generation to generation. Being the Panama hat a completely handcrafted product, each piece is unique.
Toquilla Straw
Toquilla straw is a flexible yet strong material that it grows in Ecuador!
In 2012, UNESCO declared the traditional weaving of the Ecuadorian toquilla straw part of the list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity. In the coast of Ecuador, different artisans will cultivate their own toquilla straw. The microclimates in the equator help ensure the quality of the palm to the finest standards to create Panama Hats, and other summer accessories.
